Terms of sale
Last updated: 23 October 2026
The short version: you pay once, you get a data-only eSIM by email, and you get your money back if you haven't installed it yet, if it won't work because of a fault we can't fix, or if we don't deliver it within 24 hours. The full rules are below.
1. Who we are
Rebels eSIM is a trade name of a Dutch sole proprietorship. We sell the eSIM to you and we are your point of contact for everything to do with it.
- Business address: Tuin van Lugh 33, 1705 SN Heerhugowaard, the Netherlands
- Email: info@rebelsesim.com
- Phone: +31 6 8335 3939
- Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number: 42009740
- VAT number: NL005431406B84
The eSIM profile is supplied by our wholesale partner. The mobile network itself is provided by mobile operators in the country you travel to.
2. What you buy
- An eSIM with a data plan for the destination, the amount of data or the number of days you choose when you order. The page of each plan shows what it includes: the countries, the networks, whether hotspot is confirmed, and what happens when your data runs out.
- The eSIM is for mobile data only. It has no phone number, so you can't make normal calls or send text messages with it. Apps like WhatsApp, iMessage and FaceTime do work, because they use data.
- You pay once. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically.
3. How ordering works
- You choose a plan, enter the email address where your eSIM should go and, if you have one, a partner code.
- Before you pay you see the plan, its main features and the total price, and you can still change all of it. You tick that you want the eSIM delivered right away (see article 8). By paying, you agree to these terms.
- You press a button that says “Pay now” and pay on the payment page of our payment provider. The contract is concluded as soon as your payment is confirmed.
- We then email you your eSIM, a confirmation of your order with a record that you asked for immediate delivery, these terms and the withdrawal form. We keep a record of your order. The contract language is English.
4. Price and payment
- All prices are in euros and include VAT. The amount you see before you pay is the amount you pay. If your card is in another currency, your bank may charge a conversion fee; that is outside our control.
- You pay through Stripe, our payment provider. We never see or store your card or bank details.
- A valid partner code gives you 5% off the price of that order. Codes can't be combined or exchanged for cash.
5. Delivery
- After you pay, we email you a QR code and installation links. Your eSIM is usually ready within a few minutes.
- If your eSIM isn't delivered within 24 hours, you can choose a full refund, or wait while we sort it out.
6. Your phone
- It's up to you to check that your phone is suitable: it must support eSIM and must not be locked to one network. Our phone checker helps you check.
- An eSIM can be installed on one phone only. It can't be moved to another device.
- Don't delete the eSIM after installing it. A deleted eSIM usually can't be installed again.
7. Activation and validity
- Activation period. After you buy your eSIM, you have 90 days to activate it. For the Hong Kong plan this is 30 days. If you don't activate it in time, it expires.
- When it starts. Your plan starts when your phone first connects to a supported network at your destination. You can install it at home before you leave; nothing is counted until then.
- How long it lasts. From activation, your plan runs for the number of days shown with the plan, for example 7 or 30 days. Plans that stop when the data is used up end earlier if you use it all.
- When your data runs out. On most plans of 3 GB and more, the speed drops to 128 kbps until the validity ends. The 1 GB plans and some other plans stop when the data is used up. The plan page tells you which applies.
- Unlimited plans give you 1 GB a day at full speed, then 5 Mbps until your daily allowance resets. Depending on the network, the reset happens 24 hours after activation or at a fixed time each day.
- Data or days you don't use expire at the end of the validity period. They aren't refunded, except in the cases in article 9.
8. Right of withdrawal
- An eSIM is delivered digitally and can't be sent back. That's why, when you order, we ask your explicit consent to deliver it right away, and you confirm that you know you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once the eSIM has been delivered.
- If the law still gives you a right of withdrawal, for example because your plan counts as a service, you can withdraw within 14 days of your purchase. You then get your money back, minus a proportionate amount for any data already used.
- You can withdraw with the “Withdraw from contract here” button on our help page, by email, or with the model form below. We confirm receipt by email, with the date and time we received it.
- Our refund policy in article 9 applies in addition to this.
9. Refund policy
You get a full refund if:
- Your eSIM hasn't been installed yet, and you tell us within the activation period.
- Your eSIM doesn't work because of a technical fault on our side or the network's, and we can't fix it together. You can also choose a new eSIM instead of a refund.
- We can't deliver your eSIM within 24 hours (article 5).
You don't get a refund if:
- Your eSIM has been installed, even if you haven't used it yet. Once it's installed, you only get a refund in case of a technical fault (point 2 above).
- Your eSIM has used data and works normally. If it didn't work for part of the time because of a fault, we look case by case at whether you get part of your money back, based on the usage the network shows.
- Your eSIM doesn't work because your phone isn't suitable or is locked to a network.
- You deleted your eSIM or want to move it to another phone.
- The activation period or the validity period has ended.
We refund within 14 days of approving your request, using the payment method you paid with.
10. Your legal rights
You have a legal right to an eSIM that works as agreed. Our refund policy comes on top of that right; it doesn't replace or limit it.
11. Help and complaints
- Is your eSIM not working, or do you have a question or complaint? Email info@rebelsesim.com and include your order number from your QR email.
- We reply within five working days. You're probably in a different time zone, so our answer may arrive outside your day.
- If we can't solve your complaint together and you live in another EU country, you can contact the European Consumer Centre in your country (ECC-Net) for free advice. Living in the Netherlands? See ConsuWijzer, run by the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM). We are not obliged to take part in an alternative dispute resolution procedure and don't currently use one. You can always go to the competent court.
12. Network and coverage
- For each plan we list the networks it uses. Signal strength and speed in a particular place depend on that local network; we can't guarantee them.
- In remote areas, at sea, in the mountains and during network outages, the connection can be weaker or drop out.
- Your data is usually routed through another country, so websites see an IP address from, for example, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong or the United Kingdom. Some apps or websites may be blocked by a local government or may not be available through some networks.
- Some plans ask for an ID registration before they connect in Hong Kong or Taiwan. If that applies, it says so on the plan page.
13. Fair use and misuse
- You buy the eSIM for your own use. Reselling it isn't allowed.
- You don't use the eSIM for anything that is illegal in the Netherlands or in the country you're in.
- In case of misuse, we or the network may block the eSIM. You don't get a refund in that case.
14. Liability
- Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the eSIM.
- We aren't liable for indirect damage, such as a missed booking or extra costs because you were offline for a while.
- These limits don't apply in case of intent or gross negligence on our part, and they don't limit any rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
15. Privacy
For your order we keep your email address, your order details and the technical details of your eSIM. How we handle your data is in our privacy policy.
16. Changes and governing law
- We may change these terms. Your order is covered by the terms that applied when you ordered.
- These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you're a consumer, this doesn't take away the protection given to you by the mandatory rules of the country where you normally live. You can take a dispute to the Dutch courts or, where the law allows, to the courts where you live.
17. Top-ups
- On plans that show “Top-up: Yes” you can add data to the eSIM you already have, using your order number. You don't get a new QR code.
- A top-up is added straight away, but it starts when your current plan ends: when its data runs out on plans that stop, or when its days are up. It then runs for the number of days shown with it.
- These terms apply to a top-up in the same way as to an eSIM, including article 8. As a top-up needs nothing installed, you get a full refund only if it doesn't work because of a fault on our side or the network's that we can't fix, or if we can't add it within 24 hours.
